The Latest

Most of the last month has had me working on the Brass Union pages in my ‘Bands’ section – and a pleasant trip through memory lane and link-up with old friends it has been, too.  Musically, things do seem to be picking up, although I still do find myself practicing a lot more than performing – possibly, a lesson here?  But the summer has me out on all the ‘big’ weekends and events (Canada Day, July 4th weekend, etc.), out with my friends making music for people to listen to.  And it’s very hard to find fault with that.

Welcome to my website.

Following the solstice, the first day of summer, the return of the nice weather and all that sorta stuff, I thought it was about time to kick this page up a notch.  I can feel one of those ‘creative periods’ coming on – odd too, how I can always feel them coming in advance – and a little energy is always helpful.

The song, by Joe Satriani, is called “Friends” and is probably a good fit for this website.  I’m not entirely sure how his music relates to it, but I know how this site does.  Everything here is built from my experiences in the company of others – friends, family, those I’ve passed briefly and enjoyed the time.  Because really … given the choice, I would never choose to experience something memorable enough to put on the internet, alone.  It would just feel very selfish.
