Another mid-February storm outside my front window.  Not a lot more to the winter this year, unfortunately.  It was rather snow-bare and dreary.
At the end of February, the red-tailed hawk visited the tree across the street again (centre of picture at left).  It took a while for me to 'understand' what this meant but eventually I began work on ma's garage and backyard.
And on April 8th, a little over a month after my friend Nancy's passing (see story), Brewer and Sara, her two pet dogs began living in their new home in ma's backyard.
My friend, Phil, came over and installed the 'doggy door' in the bottom of the garage door.
Playtime -- with Sara, Joanne & Ma
Brewer has far more important things to do.
POWERHOUSE travels to Windsor Casino for a double gig -- drive down one day, play at night, drive around the area next day, play that night, drive home.  It sure was a nice club -- never had a valet park my car for me before.
Above, left to right:  Detroit, Michigan across the river from the Casino in Windsor -- is it only me who thinks the 3 towers of GM Place look like a coin bank ?? -- the Ambassador Bridge from Windsor (left) to Detroit (right), and Detroit in the distance from upriver.
Another late spring, afternoon drive -- this time, along the Niagara River gorge, downstream from the Falls, with the USA Side Generating station in the background

The suppertime parade.  A backyard tradition.
Sadly, Brewer was only with us until July 28th.  His back legs finally got so bad that he could no longer walk

POWERHOUSE playing one of the very few outddor gigs this year that didn't get rained out.  This time, we're in a peach orchard in Beamsville at our friend Karen's farm at the beginning of September.  Ironically, I played this same gig last year with my other band, the Steve French Band.  It was a great gig.  I hope I get back there next year -- don't care which band it is with.
John Willett and his flute.  I get very few pictures of my high school buddy playing his flute.
This was a sad, cold day in late September.  It was time to empty out my friend Nancy's home.
Her back yard (now well grown-in), where I spent many a pleasant evening talking with my friend and playing with her two dogs, Sara and Brewer.
Her Honda 750 Shadow which now lives in ma's garage.  Hopefully by next spring, I'll be able to ride it as she wished.
My friend, Nancy, in pleasant days.
MYSUMRLV -- her mint condition Mercedes off to its new home.
The last country drive of the season -- this time, taking the new car off up through the Halton Hills for the day.
October 31st is a bit late for dipping your foot in Georgian Bay..
A man, his new car and a beach.
What ?!? ... I can be fixed up !! ... Honest.  The grass is already cut in the backyard.
At first we thought it was a plastic bag stuck on a reed.  Then it moved.
Two dogs, two bones, one new home.
Then, one week before Christmas, winter hit -- as viewed from off my balcony.  It was kinda pretty, though, the next day.  It made for an excellent end to the year.
